A Strategy for Cyberinfrastructure in Canada: An Update

Walter Stewart, Consultant to CANARIE

Session Abstract

Walter Stewart Headshot

In October 2009, at CANARIE Users' Forum in Banff, attendees from across Canada called for the immediate development of a cyberinfrastructure strategy for Canada. The message was heard by CANARIE, CUCCIO, and Compute Canada.

As a result of the meetings, a collaborative process has begun.

Walter Stewart, facilitator of Users' Forum 2009 and author of the Forum report, will give a mid-year review. He will report on progress to date, plans for the future, and the engagement of multiple organizations around the country in driving the agenda forward. Much work remains to be done; never has there been greater will.

Come and hear how you can contribute to this effort.
