Formed in March 2007 with representatives from BCNET and its member universities, the Voice over Internet Protocol Working Group (VoIP) is currently developing its Terms of Reference.

The group's mandate is the implementation of VoIP and the exploration of peering capabilities among connected universities. Their plan of execution is an inter-institutional standard for information exchange via IP telephony.
