Core Switches - Juniper
The Juniper contract offers pre-negotiated pricing on Juniper Ethernet Core Switches for higher education members.
BCNET signed a revised, three-year contract with Juniper in January 2017. Juniper offers its series of Ethernet Core Switches for purchase through Juniper's Authorized Elite Resellers. These products provide state-of-art solutions that will fit into the campus environment for all institutions, regardless of size of geographical area.
The EX4600 line of Ethernet switches delivers data center class scale, high availability, and high performance to campus distribution deployments. The EX4600 offers fixed 10 Gpbs and modular 10 Gpbs and 40 Gbps ports, giving it the flexibility to also be implemented in data center top-of-rack and service provider aggregation deployments.
The QFX10000 line of high-performance fixed core and spine switches delivers industry-leading scalability, density, and flexibility, helping cloud and data center operators build automated data center networks that provide superior long-term investment protection. Designed for a diverse set of deployment options, the QFX10000 switches allow data center operators to build cloud networks that best suit their deployment needs and easily evolve as requirements change over time.
The Juniper Networks EX9200 line of modular Ethernet switches provides a programmable, flexible, and scalable core for delivering mission critical applications in both campus and data center environments, reducing cost and complexity while offering carrier-class reliability. High port densities enable the EX9200 to consolidate and aggregate network layers, dramatically simplifying campus and data center architectures while reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) and lowering power, space and cooling requirements.
The Juniper Networks QFX5100 line of access and aggregation switches delivers low latency, flexible deployment options, and rich Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, making it the industry’s most nimble family of switches. Featuring Topology-Independent In-Service Software Upgrades (TISSU) and support for L2 gateway capabilities for bridging between virtualized and bare- metal servers, the QFX5100 is designed for the most demanding, high-performance data center deployments.
