Course Info

This engaging two-day course introduces students to the ITIL® Version 5  framework—the latest evolution of the globally recognized ITIL® methodology. Version 5 builds on ITIL® 4, and reflects the needs of today's digital, AI-enabled, product-centric organizations, offering an integrated approach to managing digital products and services across their full lifecycle. 

The framework emphasizes agility, coordination, and clear value delivery, particularly in environments shaped by AI, automation, and rising customer expectations.  

The ITIL® 5 Foundation course covers the key concepts, terminology, and structure of the updated framework. It prepares students for the ITIL® 5 Foundation Certification Exam while providing insight into end-to-end digital products and service management.

Transitioning from ITIL® Version 3 or 4

If you already hold ITIL® 4 Foundation: You do not need to retake Foundation to move into ITIL® Version 5 advanced modules. 

If you hold ITIL® 3 Foundation: We recommend ITIL® Version 5 Foundation training and certification to align with updated practices and modern digital realities.

She has held senior leadership roles at BCIT, UBC, BC Hydro, and Vancouver Community College, where she led organization-wide transformation initiatives that strengthened financial sustainability, modernized operations, and advanced strategic priorities.

Kim Horn

Kim currently serves as the Assistant Deputy Minister and Executive Financial Officer (ADM & EFO) for the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills, with responsibilities for corporate finance; records and Freedom of Information; funding, financial accountability and general operations for the public post-secondary education sector; emergency management; and information management.
