Jennifer Burns serves as the AVP Information Technology & CIO at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Jennifer is responsible for the delivery of enterprise IT services across UBC.

Over Jennifer’s tenure, her focus has been on orchestrating the transformation of UBC's technology infrastructure, securing UBC’s data and information systems, and supporting IT teams in embracing a progressive technological outlook through the adoption of cloud solutions and automation. Jennifer remains focused on delivering programs, products and services that enable UBC's vision and mission in teaching, learning, research and student experiences, while building a robust and collaborative culture of continuous improvement and inclusion. 

Jennifer represents UBC in the higher education IT leadership community across Canada and internationally and has served on BCNET’s Board since 2015.
