Eric is the Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Victoria, where he has worked for more than 20 years. He brings his focus to the human impacts of cybersecurity, not just to his own institution, but to the broader post-secondary community in BC and Canada. He believes security is an enabler of teaching and research in the academic environment, taking a 'Yes And' approach to collaborative solutions. He is currently co-chair of the BCNET CyberSecurity Services Committee (CSSC) and the CANARIE Research Intensive Group (RIG) CISO Committee.

Laleh is a transformational technology leader and Director of Enterprise Digital Transformation and Automation in the Office of the CIO at the University of British Columbia. With more than 20 years in technology and over 15 years in higher education, she has led major digital transformation initiatives spanning Workday, enterprise platforms, automation, AI enablement, integration, application modernization, portfolio governance, and IT PMO delivery.
Laleh is passionate about using technology to create meaningful outcomes for people and organizations. Known for fostering collaboration, navigating complexity, and turning strategic vision into practical results, she builds high-performing teams and drives lasting organizational change.
An active contributor to BCNET and the broader Canadian post-secondary technology community, she shares insights and lessons learned to support innovation, transformation, and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies.
