Canada’s National Research and Education Network (NREN), collectively formed by CANARIE and its twelve provincial and territorial partners, connects Canada’s researchers, educators and innovators provincially, nationally, and globally to the data, tools, colleagues, and classrooms that fuel the discoveries that shape our lives.

As the reach of provincial and territorial Research and Education Networks have continued to mature independently and collectively across Canada, the National Research and Education Network Governing Council is considering the prospect of offering “Above the Network” services. A catalogue of “Above the Network” services could vary from joint procurement to cybersecurity and policy advocacy. Attend this session to hear from leaders of regional Research and Education Network organizations who will bring their perspectives on what the future holds in ways to leverage the network and deliver value to stakeholders.
