This interactive workshop invites people from the BCNET member community to think about BCNET in the context of smart cities. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) innovation forms a key component of smart cities and opportunities appear to be timely for contributing to the current debate on Canadian infrastructure spending. This workshop provides an opportunity to explore the increased interweaving of people-technologies-cities in relation to the potential for new forms of relationships and partnerships for learning in responding to complex urban issues and environments.
