CIRA already had partnerships with every research network in Canada to provide authoritative DNS services. Many of these users shared with us their pain in managing secure recursive services and whether a cloud offering may also be coming. We listened and launched a policy-enabled recursive service targeted at organizations with large private and public networks to protect. What makes these services different is that they are architected for Canadian organizations to deliver performance, sovereignty, and quality that is not available elsewhere. Our large Canadian user-base gives us information specific to Canadian markets in health, education, and municipalities and this presentation will share the latest threat data and profile these sectors in terms of the types of attacks we are seeing. We’ll also share information on the different content filtering policies that different institutions are using to help attendees to set their own policies.
