An increasing number of enterprise applications and services offered by universities to students, staff, researchers, and the public are now being delivered via the web. Valuable information and increased exposure can put systems and information at additional risk. Web Application Firewalls (WAF) can help mitigate some of that risk. This session will provide insight into some of the risks and threats, show how a WAF can help, and convey some lessons learned from UVic's pilot of the F5 BIG-IP Application Security Manager.
