The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to revolutionize how we optimize processes in the physical world. Sensors can optimize our resource usage, self driving vehicles can safely deliver people to loved ones and goods to far off places, and city living can be optimized to be more comfortable, convenient, and more energy efficient than ever before. The dark side of connecting the distributed cloud to the real world is that optimization can be perverted into chaos. What security measures and architectures will offer the most accurate and effective protection for our world and prevent it from descending into chaos? In this talk, Albert Lew from Juniper Networks will speak about both the promise, the perils, and the preventative techniques to consider in the emerging world of IoT.
