This session will discuss UFVs service onboarding of eduroam visitor access. From business case, to pilot, to its implementation as a service offering with workflow within the Service Catalogue in TeamDynamix, the session will focus on eVA as a new service and its design process.  From the the goal of moving to a single wi-fi network for broadcasting, to the business analysis, the technical implementation/IoT, the service design then delivery, and finally the operational support for our successful eVA implementation. Next steps and continuous service improvement initiatives will also be covered.

Dave Anderson is the Associate Director of Infrastructure & Operations at the University of Fraser Valley. With more than 15 years' experience, he actively leads projects in the data center, network, storage, and cloud areas while also maintaining daily operations. Some of his recent accomplishments include data center network modernization and storage/backup optimization projects. Dave started his career at UFV as a recent graduate, and through the years has moved into various roles at the institution, continually demonstrating his commitment to higher education sector in BC.
